I’m not giving 5 stars for a few reasons and I’ll explain, as they may not be issues to you, but for a reviewer, I feel I should point out. Food was hot, and tasted very good, and server was attentive. It's a personal preference, so order whatever you're in the mood for and you won't be disappointed. Favorite dessert is easily the bananas foster. Some of my favorites have been the seafood items such as the oysters, tartare's, and sea bass. Everything is always plated and presented very nicely.

Have ordered just about every appetizer, all oysters, most entrees, most accompaniments, most desserts, etc. Server will immediately come over to introduce themselves, take your drink & appetizer orders, and explain any off-menu specials.Īs far as the food, have never ordered anything I didn't like. The hostesses will quickly verify get you checked-in and escort you to your table. First thing you'll notice is the great service as soon as you walk in the door. It's best to make reservations as it does get crowded, but have come before without reservations. Have been coming to Eddie V's for many different occasions, from personal, professional, and special celebrations for both. You're pretty much paying for the ambiance/location Overall I wouldn't consider this fine dining for the quality. The lobster & king crab was cooked perfectly. When I think of beans I think of southern cooking not fine dining.

The octopus was delicious but serving it on a bed of beans is very weird. The waitress kept raving on and on about the fries but it was anything but mediocre, at least add some truffle or parmesan for the way she was talking about it. I'm not sure if the intent is to make it edible with the steak or not but take it off if it's not made to be edible since it lack aesthetic. The whole shallots with my steak definitely threw me off. I was expecting more from my cast iron steak but it was okay usually there's supposed to be a nice crust when it's cooked on cast iron. Presentation of the food was underwhelming. The price was pricey for the lack of quality. She kept emphasizing how small their kitchen is, perhaps why it took so long. The waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu but a little aggressive at trying to get us to order more side dishes too I guess so she can get a bigger tip. It was an over an hour before our entrees arrived. The food took a lot longer than expected. They shortly closed for carbon monoxide but opened the restaurant back up for reservations only. The hostess was really awkward and lack social skills. No card or anything like other fine dining restaurants we go to. We went for my birthday but it wasn't anything special. It was very elegant but they sat us at the most undesirable table close to the bar.
