All three properties were operated by the same management, and the close proximity between them for cross promotion and deals, such as Marine World Season Passes allowing free entry to both Waterworld USA park. At the time, Premier also owned two other properties in California Waterworld USA Concord (now Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord) and Marine World Africa USA (now Six Flags Discovery Kingdom). Sometime later, Premier Parks purchased the lease for the park and began operating it. The water park was originally owned by the California Exposition and State Fair (Cal Expo).
